Our Work on Climate Resiliency Over the Years

I oppose use of glyphosphate and helped prohibit use in San Juan and Trabuco Creek Channels since January 2025 when I requested an investigation by our Agricultural Commissioner after learning a county vendor was spraying in channels.

Ove several decades, I've worked to eliminate and/or reduce the use of toxic chemicals as weed abatement, especially in our waterways, parks, sports fields, and any systems draining to the ocean.

I initiated the County's first Climate Action Plan as a road map to clean and green up our county operations.

I will continue to advocate for cleaner, greener approaches to protect public health.

Join us tonight at 6pm to hear presentations from OC Public Works and Environmental Health representatives, as well as an update on pending investigations related to improper use of herbicides from our Agricultural Commissioner, and to give your public feedback for alternative solutions to green up Orange County in District 5.
