OC Vice Chair Katrina Foley Releases Statement Supporting Dana Point Kratom Ordinance
ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA – Yesterday, the Dana Point City Council voted unanimously to give first reading to an ordinance to ban retail sale of Kratom within the city. In August 2025, the Orange County Board approved an ordinance banning the sale, distribution, and possession of synthetic Kratom products in unincorporated Orange County, becoming the first county in California to address this issue.

OC Vice Chair Katrina Foley Praises Major Funding Win to Transition Balboa Island Ferry to Electric
ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA – Vice Chair Katrina Foley announced news of Balboa Ferry in Newport Beach fully executing contract agreements with the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB). Supervisor Foley helped secure approximately $7.9 million in grant funding from SCAQMD and CARB to support the ferry’s transition to zero-emission electric vessels and install necessary charging infrastructure.
