OC Vice Chair Katrina Foley Condemns Antisemitic Flyers Distributed in Coto de Caza, OC Sheriff’s Department Confirms Investigation
ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA – Today, Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley strongly condemned the distribution of antisemitic flyers in Coto de Caza and confirmed that the Orange County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the matter after her office reported the incident to law enforcement and regional public safety partners.
"These hateful acts seek to intimidate, manipulate, and spread fear with the goal of pitting our neighbors against one another. This weaponized division will never define Orange County," said Supervisor Katrina Foley. "I unequivocally condemn antisemitism, white supremacy, and every form of hate directed at our Jewish community or any resident.”
Supervisor Foley’s office reported the incident to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. OCSD is part of the Orange County Intelligence Assessment Center, known as OCIAC, which coordinates with regional public safety partners and federal partners, including the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security. Following the report, OCSD launched an investigation.
In addition, Supervisor Foley's office has contacted Jewish community leaders and requested that the Orange County Human Relations Commission review the incident as part of its ongoing efforts to address hate and strengthen community safety.
“My office will continue working alongside law enforcement, community leaders, and our regional partners to ensure this incident receives a swift and thorough investigation,” said Supervisor Foley. “Every family deserves to feel safe in their community, and every person deserves the freedom to live without fear of intimidation or harassment.”
