OC Vice Chair Katrina Foley Hosts “Dog’s Day Out”
Walk with OC Animal Care and OC Parks
ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA – Orange County Board of Supervisors Vice Chair Katrina Foley celebrated Earth Day by taking an OC Animal Care shelter dog on a walk at William R. Mason Regional Park through “Dog’s Day Out,” a new program at OC Animal Care.
This program encourages participants to take adoptable shelter dogs on short field trips, giving the animals an opportunity to experience new environments, enjoy adventures throughout Orange County, and showcase their personalities to potential adopters.
"What better way to celebrate Earth Day than out in our beautiful OC Parks together?” said Vice Chair Katrina Foley, Fifth District. “Each step we take on this walk reflects our progress toward a more sustainable community where everyone – including our four-legged neighbors – feels at home.”

Vice Chair Katrina Foley was elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2022 to represent the newly established District 5, which includes the cities of Aliso Viejo, Costa Mesa, Dana Point, a large portion of Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Newport Beach, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, as well as the unincorporated areas of Coto de Caza, Emerald Bay, Ladera Ranch, Las Flores, Rancho Mission Viejo, Stonecliffe and Wagon Wheel. This is her second term on the Board of Supervisors, where she previously served District 2.
