OC Vice Chair Katrina Foley Releases Statement on Appointment
of Michelle Aguirre as Orange County’s County Executive Officer
ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — The Orange County Board of Supervisors voted on Tuesday in closed session to appoint Interim Orange County Executive Officer (CEO) Michelle Aguirre to be the County’s CEO. Michelle Aguirre assumes her role immediately. Orange County Board of Supervisors Vice Chair Katrina Foley released the following statement.
“When we began this process last year, we knew we needed someone with deep county experience, strong ethics, with a measured thoughtful approach, but flexible to pivot when confronted with a crisis given our dynamic county. Michelle Aguirre exceeded my expectations while serving as Interim CEO,” said Vice Chair Katrina Foley. “CEO Aguirre is well-equipped and will guide us into the next chapter of creating a county that prioritizes ethical fiscally prudent governance, focused on the safety, health, and economic wellbeing of the people we serve. Under Michelle Aguirre’s leadership, I’m confident we are building a county for everyone to proudly call home.
