OC Supervisor Katrina Foley Congratulates Orange County Hall of Fame Class of 2024

ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley released a statement congratulating the 2024 Orange County Hall of Fame. The Orange County Hall of Fame aims to recognize and honor outstanding individuals who significantly contributed to Orange County’s rich cultural, societal, and professional landscape, with ten honorees inducted into the Hall of Fame every year. This second class includes civil servants, Grammy Award winners, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders. 

“Orange County is home to bright minds and inspirational community leaders. The Orange County Hall of Fame serves as a reminder that the legacies of our residents transcend Orange County and have a truly national impact,” said Supervisor Foley. “Congratulations and thank you to the 2024 class for making history, including inductees who made tremendous impacts on our County.  The Hall of Fame reflects the diversity of our many diverse communities throughout Orange County." 

Orange County Hall of Fame Class of 2024: 

  • Nick Berardino, founder of Heroes Hall Veterans Museum -- Civics   
  • Leo Fender, Grammy-Award winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee – Music, Arts & Entertainment 
  • Carl Karcher, founder of Carl’s Jr. – Business 
  • Wing Lam and the Lee Family, founders of Wahoo’s Fish Tacos – Business 
  • Sylvia Mendez, civil rights activist and Presidential Medal of Freedom honoree – Civics 
  • Richard Nixon, former President of the United States – Civics 
  • Ed Paul, veterans advocate – Civics 
  • William Steiner, former OC Supervisor and founder of Orangewood Children’s Home – Philanthropy 
  • Charlie Zhang, founder of Pick Up Stix, Aseptic Solutions USA, and Zion Enterprises – Business 

The 2024 Orange County Hall of Fame Ceremony is on December 10th at 10am at the County Administration Board Hearing Room located at 400 West Civic Center Drive, Santa Ana. The event will be livestreamed at www.ocgov.com

Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley was elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2022 to represent the newly established District 5, which includes the cities of Aliso Viejo, Costa Mesa, Dana Point, a large portion of Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Newport Beach, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, as well as the unincorporated areas of Coto de Caza, Emerald Bay, Ladera Ranch, Las Flores, Rancho Mission Viejo, Stonecliffe and Wagon Wheel. This is her second term on the Board of Supervisors, where she previously served District 2.
