OC Vice Chair Katrina Foley Hosts Third Annual Fly Friendly Recognition Event at John Wayne Airport

ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA – Today, Orange County Board of Supervisors Vice Chair Katrina Foley hosted a recognition event honoring this year’s 12 Fly Friendly Program participants, with special recognition of general aviation jet operators and fixed-based operators Clay Lacy Aviation and ACI Jet, who have adopted greener, sustainable technology and who educate and encourage pilots to fly quieter flight paths to protect surrounding communities.

"Our general aviation community has truly stepped up to educate pilots, promote eco-friendly flying, and set the standard for responsible aviation. I was honored to help lead the launch of this initiative in 2022, reflecting our commitment to balancing effective airport operations with sustainable practices and community well-being,” said Vice Chair Katrina Foley. For the third consecutive year, I extend my gratitude to the pilots and private jet operators who reduce noise and champion sustainability through our Fly Friendly Program. I commend ACI Jet and Clay Lacy leadership for their transparency, collaboration, and dedication to helping us create a greener, quieter, and healthier future for aviation in Orange County."

Congratulations to the 2024 Fly Friendly Participants:
