OCTA is the first large transit agency in the region to offer free bus rides to all youth ages 6 to 18 on an ongoing basis.
Orange County, California – Today, Supervisor Foley announced an award of $3.6 million in grant funding to the County of Orange to provide shelter or housing for 60 individuals currently experiencing homelessness in the County owned Talbert Park in Costa Mesa. These funds are part of $60 million in funding from the state of California, provided to 19 counties across the state.
(Santa Ana, CA) –As a Director for the Orange County Transportation Authority, Supervisor Foley today announced support for the $1.77 million grant from OCTA to fund the Baker-Placentia-Victoria 19th Street Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization and Pedestrian Safety Project. With a $433,000 match from Costa Mesa, the funds will bring comprehensive improvement of traffic signal coordination and traffic flow to accommodate the needs of pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists along the entire length of the three corridors.
