Orange County, CA – Today, Orange County Transit Authority (OCTA) Director and Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley, announced the approval of low Carbon Transit Operations initiatives for OC Bus Transit Projects. Specifically, Supervisor Foley and the OCTA Board voted to authorize the use of $8,633,000 in Low Carbon Transit Operations Program funds for the Youth Ride Free Program, along with $1,553,772 in fiscal year 2021-22 Low Carbon Transit Operations Program funds for the Bravo!

Attended by over 200 guests including honorees, community leaders, members of the public, judges and elected officials, this event honored the tremendous contributions from the women who make a difference to improve our County as neighbors, friends, coworkers, business owners, caregivers, community-leaders and residents.

Supervisor Katrina Foley’s Career Fair at Discovery Cube Museum in Santa Ana Hosting More Than 100 Employers; Priority Entry for Veterans

As part of her pandemic recovery plan, Supervisor Katrina Foley is hosting a series of career fairs throughout our County. On Thursday April 21, 2022, she’s hosting a free career fair where job seekers can connect with employers, submit resumes directly, interview in real time, and streamline finding their dream job or get hired on the spot! In addition to the 104 employers hiring at the event, there will be 3 Veterans service agencies on site, including Helmets to Hardhats which specializes in transitioning skilled Veterans into jobs and apprenticeships in construction.

Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley Announces $10.7 Million in New Funding for Motel Conversion Project in Costa Mesa

Orange County, California – Today, Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley announced the County of Orange’s award of $10,675,000 in new funding under Round Two of California’s Project Homekey program to acquire and convert the Motel 6 on Newport Boulevard in Costa Mesa into 88 units of affordable housing. Of these 88 units, 40 Homekey units will serve individuals impacted by COVID-19 who are experiencing homelessness.
